Immediately after finishing this portrait, I was overcome by emotion. It was as if my soul was telling me through the feelings in my body, that it loved my creation. In the weeks prior, I had been experimenting with different styles. I was trying to find a style of painting that suited me best. It was clear to me this was the style my soul loved the best.
